What is Therapy?

Individual counseling is one on one time with a therapist to discuss your concerns and set goals to improve these things.

In this setting you can talk about things you might usually keep to yourself, process your thoughts and life experiences and learn new skills and behaviors. You and your therapist will decide the best way to do this.

  • Anxiety can be a feeling of fear or worry that you often feel when there is no danger present.

    It can look like:

    -Feeling of dread

    -Feeling tense or nervous

  • Trauma is the experience of an event that is life threatening and/or has the potential to cause some kind of distress or serious injury. Diagnosis as a result of trauma could include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or a stress related disorder.

    *Important Note* Not all people who experience trauma will develop PTSD.
